There are 48 little faces singing in
the central medallion of this floorcloth, which
I conceived as a parody of Persian rugs, as well
as two singing faces hidden in the first and second borders.
Instead
of decorating this floorcloth with musical instruments or sheet music, I
wanted to focus on the elemental forces available to everyone who
experiences the joy of singing—breath, warmth, waves. This floorcloth can be
rendered in a different color scheme.
